Ford into 9 does go.........
Discussion
Ok, so who has those nasty yellowing wing repeaters on their car but cannot justify, or are dubious about having a go DIY replacing them?
Well, I did a lookabout and found that the wing repeaters from a Ford Puma, (hucc, spit) are exactly the same size, and design as the Aston ones fitted to the DB9 (+ others?).
So, being a bit of a tight-@ss, I trotted down to my local Ford Dealer to buy a set at Ford prices rather than Aston prices.
HUGE SHOCK!!!
Price from Aston is around £15.00 per side, Ford want £35.00 for the left side and £28.00 for the right. I think they might be smokin' summat in that Ford Motor Company.
HOWEVER, all is not lost. As Fords are so common, there are millions of colours and finishes available on fleabay for the boy racer modder, (like me) so a silver set with chrome bulbs was had for £6.00 THE PAIR DELIVERED.
The only difference is that AM appear to have shaved off a bit of the fitting to stop you doing what I have done (like save £25.00) which can easily be rectified with a Dremel or a "Stanley" knife and behold, nice clear shiny repeaters..........

with no orange bulb glow through them or yellow tinge to the lens.
