That Clare Balding is one of the most awful presenters on TV at the moment. Totally ruins the "today at Wimbledon" show
In all fairness no she's not, she normally ok - especially compared to a lot of other presenters.

However the new Wimbledon2day format is dire, the "audience" add nothing and 'winging it' would be polite way to describe last night's show frown

Hope it gets sorted for tonight!
I like her, always enthusiastic in what she is presenting, however I agree, terrible, terrible format idea. What was wrong with the relaxed chit chat round the table in their studio as they have always done!

All three of them looked awkward with it tbh. Though Lindsay seemed to be more ok with it. I hope the powers that be realise it is bad but I doubt it.
This seems to sum it up rather well http://www.radiotimes.com/news/2015-06-30/top-gear...
what would help enormously was if they actually showed some tennis, I tune in for the highlights not to hear her wittering on about a subject she clearly knows nothing about

Some woeful line calling and umpiring during the Heather Watson match, the number of challenges that resulted in overturns was ridiculous. Umpire wrongly indicated points to be replayed or not more than once.

Good win for Watson, but the line calls were probably the worst I've ever seen. I don't mind when it's marginal, but at least one call was wrong by six inches.

Yep, she definitely earned the right to get crushed by Serena Williams in the next round.

Kyrgios comes across as a weapons grade k***.
You're not cool, youre simply obnoxious.
McEnroe bigging him up too, he is woeful as a pundit....seems half cut. He's not quick or funny...just beyond predictable playing a pseudo villain.
To be fair, Balding is handling him well, constantly dancing to guide him back on track. He like an old uncle you keep trying to avoid at a wedding, but then insists on making a speech. Dreadful.

I also thought Kyrgios's attitude stank, no respect even those that argue rarely result in personal insults. For a linesman to say something is rare aswell. John McEnroes pathetic 'other athletes can di it' well actually no, many other athletes can't!

Although to be fair to McEnroe the 'beard' sketch was amazingly ropey as was the 'do you like jokes' part as well... All a bit nothing and nothing.

It's only been one game but I'm already loving the German guy Brown playing Nadal, hope he does well!

He is nearly there, brilliant match and Nadal on his way out.
Murray could have to play Brown in the quarters

Could be the first shock of the tournament here

I've only just tuned in though, has Brown been great or Nadal been poor?

I think Nadal has been outplayed by a guy with a very different style to his and Brown has beaten Nadal on grass before

yes

Very enjoyable to watch.

Shame Rafa has struggled at Wimbledon for so long now though.

All credit to Brown however Nadal's career now looks in tatters - he's been beaten by some proper journeymen over the last 12 months. His grueling style of play over the years and countless injuries look to have finally caught up with him. Unless Dr Fuentes can come up with a magic potion for him quickly he'll probably retire sooner rather than later. He could no doubt play on for another 3 or 4 years and stay in the top 20-30 but would he really want to do that?
