Driving from UK to Northern Norway

Has anyone ever done this? I'm looking at driving and going via the Euro Tunnel to get there, going via Germany

Yes - I have done this in 2009 on the Scally Rally, in an old Ford Escort Estate .... we took the ferry from Harwich to The Hague..... then Copenhagen, Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim and ended up in Bodo.

Spectacular scenery, and if you take your time, you will enjoy it even more than we did (we only had 5 days to complete the trip) After scrapping the car in Bodo, we flew up to Tromso for a few days - that is well worth a visit. Good Luck.

You have to allow for road closures and getting stuck beind tanker trucks, Oslo to Alesund took me 12 hours once.

I looked at driving Oslo to near Maastrict a few weeks ago, It came out as 18 hours nonstop.

Me and my better half did it in a Land Rover in feb 18 months ago, from Peterborough to Nordkapp and back again. I'll put my trip report up when I get back to the uk or its under Norway 2012 on the EVO forum.
