In Mrs Merkel's language ...NEIN!!!

And that is what the exit polls are currently predicting.

What's the betting that the Greek's exit polls are far more accurate than ours!

Moron bit is missing.

Or it could be "no"

I compliment the Greeks in getting a referendum sorted out within a week - top marks.

Now how about getting tax returns sent to everyone to be completed within a week too.

This whole referendum thing is a farce, a total abrogation of responsibility by an elected government and a shameful exercise in hand-washing that once again shows politicians up as the weasels who never lose. The BBC video of the event shows votes being put into redundant envelopes and people presumably employed to carefully scribe down copious notes in big books. No wonder they're bloody skint. Come on guys, smell the 21st century! Or the 20th at least.

Our exit polls were very accurate. It was the polls leading up to the election that were miles off. It was the exit polls that were used at 10pm on election night that shocked the BBC pundits, and those were spot on.

There are no exit polls for this referendum. No one could afford to organise one. The polls quoted are small, telephone ones.

60% of the first 10% of votes counted are 'no' votes.

I squinted a bit at the BBC news channel, here's the website they're looking at.

Impressive that they can do this so quickly, and in real time.

Not a single election area is showing yes, that's pretty emphatic if it stays that way.

I bet the people of Spain and Portugal are eyeing this test case with considerable interest.

That's exactly how we vote in the UK.

With 23% counted it's a pretty comprehensive no vote. The next few days will be interesting. One thing I am interested in is what is the actual trigger point of them being kicked out of the single currency?

It was 60.45%, it's now 60.62%.

With a quarter of the votes counted, 'no' is actually rising.

The bbc news 24 coverage is pretty poor - bloody Vicky Pryce, and a screen grab of a bbc website instead of actual graphics for the results.
