Is that the one with the brass nut or the plastic nut?

Because if it is the one with the plastic nut they are rubbish, Lucas quality isn't what it used to be back in the day!

The "Lucas SNB802" I bought two weeks ago had the plastic nut, the Lucas replacement for that faulty one that I declined also had the plastic nut - they were both new stock.

Ok here are the details has promised.
Fitted today and everything is good.
It is a genuine part with the brass nut.
The intermotor sales office is on 01675-466999.
They will give you the number of your local supplier, very helpful.
I ordered mine through Autopartsandiagnostics in Yate near Bristol.
Excellent fast service and cost £6.78 all inclusive.
Cheers

I have been using these ones FAE 33370 or ECP pt no 224 77 0030 (£7.68+ trade) ............... also with brass nut and works as it should confused

I guess you could ask ECP but from my experience if a sticker with that bar code was stuck to an elephant's @rse they would look for a bigger van and still send it out hehe
Correct I have EDITED my post thanks wink

I had read this just before popping out this morning to Lloyds, and they offered me a Lucas with the plastic body. I almost turned it down but when they said it was a fiver I bought it anyway. What is the main problem with them?

Are they faulty from new, or inaccurate, or develop faults in use? And how do they fail - do they read hot or cold?
