Been mentioned in a few threads (try doing a search on 'tuftuf'). Interesting though. Its actually Dutch, because they seem to be UK-style draconian there too.

Dunno about where you lot are, but round here they've started putting out stupid radio adverts wittering on about how much 'speeding costs your local hospital'. As in, every accident costs 100 grand. Fine. I pay my tax and national insurance, I think I should be able to ask that MY money gets spent on car crash victims. As opposed to self-inflicted drug problems, lung cancer brought on by too many fags, child benefit for teen mothers and their shithead dole-scrounging boyfriends, 'asylum seekers' etc. etc.
Do they mention how much is wasted on those, as a comparison? No. So they can p155 off with their 'safety cameras'. And I hope 'they' read this.
For the life of me I don't understand why there hasn't been more 'modification' of cameras by the public. I think someone ought to pay gyppos to use their Hiabs for a useful purpose, as opposed to thieving copper pipe and laying dodgy driveways. Let's face it, they get away with every other crime in the book.

'they've started putting out stupid radio adverts wittering on about how much 'speeding costs your local hospital'

Yes, it's amazing what you can people to believe when you have infinite amounts of taxpayer's money to brainwash them. Even the police fall for it. First they said 'Speeding is a factor in a third of all accidents' then it became 'Speeding causes a third of all accidents' then 'Most accidents are caused by speeding' Even BBC TV local news begins features with 'We all know that speed really does kill' and shows vigilante OAPs making 30 signs to put up in a non-30 limit. Quite illegal of course, but does Plod care? Does he .

If all this pisses you off - as it does me - because you know deep down that it's all b*llocks designed to make us go by bus - please see and preferably join www.abd.org For the true facts about the 'one-third lie', and how it was cooked up, see www.ringroad.fsnet.co.uk/one_third.htm

It's the same as the whole "Kill your speed not a child campaign"

Rather than putting the responsibility on the car drivers to slow down to 20 mph so that they only injure kids when they hit them rather than kill them, would it not be better to spend the money educating parents & kids to stop the kids being in the street infront of the car in the first place?

If it carries on like this we'll be back to the days of having someone walking infront of our cars waving a red flag.
