996 C2 Tyre Pressures - 17"
Thursday 14th October 2004
Just having a new set of tyres put on the car and want to get the pressures right. Anyone know off-hand what they should be on 17" rims?
Cheers...

Sorry I run 18" and it recomends 36 front 44 rear but this is not much help to you .Porsche always write it on the sticker attched to the inner of the petrol cap cover if that helps

My sticker (not 996) gives something well over 40 also, and I was told this is the "can't be too careful when fully loaded on the autobahn" pressure. 36 doesn't sound that high, currently running 35 all round on 285/30 ZR18 which has proved to be the optimum. Why not experiment a few psi each way when you can be @rsed, as it can make a big difference.

Cheers Lightweight - you were right 36, 36 and it was on the filler cap...
