Printing boarding pass
Discussion
BA only allows you to check in and print your boarding pass 24 hours before a flight.
If I have not been able to get to a printer then have a pdf sent to email forward to such as hotel reception and always have been able to find a solution.
Anyway flybe also do a boarding pass by SMS to mobile phones.
Complete non issue imho.

Complete non issue unless you have the issue. Hopefully will sort it tomorrow evening. If I have not been able to get to a printer then have a pdf sent to email forward to such as hotel reception and always have been able to find a solution.

I know BA's issue - but I use the app...
I've tried to find a way to switch to the SMS and it does not seem to be there post decision. bummer.
We've just flown with them (from Southampton last week). I too was concerned about the boarding card as I didn't have access to a printer. I called them, they confirmed I didn't need to print the card before arriving at the airport & I wouldn't be charged. I could print the card at one of the check-in machines at the airport or queue to check-in. Having the boarding card beforehand would've enabled me to use a faster 'bag drop' queue. For the return leg (Malaga) there were no machines so just queued to check-in as normal.

I went to a machine, and entered a reference number. It said you have checked in would you like another copy of your boarding pass. I said Yes, and voila...
I apologise to Flybe for thinking they operate like Ryan Air....
To be fair that's what you get when you fly with a proper airline.I went to a machine, and entered a reference number. It said you have checked in would you like another copy of your boarding pass. I said Yes, and voila...

Yes, that's a pretty poor state of affairs. You also can't pick your seat until 24 hours before the flight - unless of course you shell out some extra moolah. Even EasyJet's basic package allows you to pick your seat and print out all your boarding passes well in advance.Halmyre said:

He was told it was a complete non issue and so it proved to be.
The reason some airlines allow you to check in etc before you have even travelled outbound is because they try and charge for everything including printing the boarding pass. Hence they had a lot of complaints over this by people who couldn't check in online whilst on their holiday.
Personally I prefer the way the regular outfits operate as in essence the cut price outfits aren't that cut price over the whole picture.
But others find different, if that suits them fair enough.
