A Question for bird owners
Discussion
Quick question for fellow bird owners on PH
I have 7 Parrots (2x Budgerigars, 2x Rosa Bourkes, 2x Peach Faced Love Birds and a Cockatiel) and one canary.
Obviously I use quite a lot of cuttlefish, providing a nice fresh one every month or so. However Im not comfortable ethics wise feeding my birds such an intelligent creature especially as a mere supplement.
I have bought some ground up calcium supplement and I provided it alongside the gravel but they have not gone for it. If I mix it in the food they will pick around it and ignore it.
Are there any alternatives that any PH bird owners can suggest?

Go down to the seaside and pick some naturally washed up skeletons.
I am very happy to use natural stuff, especially given that im quite environmentally aware, however I live as far away from the nearest coastline as humanly possible (Bedfordshire)I might be popping down to Yarmouth in a few weeks (Not going to bother calling it Great!) so I may be able to beach comb a little bit there, wonder if they would like the razorfish shells, they are dead easy to find

If you cover postage I will collect some for you and send them. I live by the sea, there were loads washed up when I swam this morning. Let me know!
Very Kind offer thank you, but I managed to solve the problemMy pet store ordered me in a calcium supplement that goes in the water. As they must drink water I know they are not missing out on their required intake.
The product is free of cuttlefish and or other animals.
It is called Calciboost if anyone is interested, cuttlefish are wonderful creatures so Im really pleased that I am not using them for this purpose anymore
