With the Diablo hunting not going too well due lack of numbers out there, I've widened my search to Gallardos. This is one which has caught my attention:

www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/20130716784...

A 2006 MY Gallardo SE within budget but has 59k miles under her belt.

Does this appear to be reasonably priced and if I did take the plunge, am I likely to be stuck with her come resale or will the fact that she's one of only 12 rhd SE models help?

Does anyone know the car and is there anything I should be mindful about given the high mileage?

Many thanks in advance.

If its a Diablo you want, wait for the right one, or stretch a little and get an early Murci, proper doors and the right number of cylinders wink

It's not cheap enough for me at £62k with 59k on the clock........I don't think I've seen one with SL style rear spoiler either......

Pages and pages written on the mileage debate but a general rule of buy cheap sell cheap seems to be the opinion, that said I am not sure the difference between a normal car and an SE but you maybe better off with a std car with normal miles for similar money.

Only thing I will say is donr just take a spin out in the country as you will never find the place, so call first.

+1 for Dion at Elms. He'll find you what you want, without having your eyes out.

Im sorry but you have to be kidding on the price...
Im keeping a watchful eye on prices of gallardos as Im tempted as well but thats mental... 35-40k maybe but 60k miles absolutely dreaming.

I went to see this SE a few weeks ago. Very nice car but I'm holding out for a Spyder. Dan who owns it is a top guy and obviously is passionate about his cars. Been well maintained and history stacks up. I'm pretty confident Neil at VVS will make sure the car is spot on if he sells it. Dan had the Lambo car cover plus the all weather car cover and a trickle charger. He's also got the original rear wing with the reversing camera. The Superleggera wing looks awesome imo, finishes the rear end of very nicely. I drove it (like a girl) but it seemed to be just as tight as newer ones with less mileage. Just remember it's a 7 year old car that's been driven and enjoyed rather than a garage queen.

My first question is what kind of warranty does the car come with and what are the limitations of that warranty.

many of the changes that 'made the SE' were then standard on the post 06 models, almost as if the se was the test mule..... so limited it is, but truly special, not of the superleggera league, no.....
if you must have a car with the nero noctis roof and engine cover, which looks very nice, then the SE is the car for you.
a bit like the 'nero' edition cars, rare, but actually just a comestic finish special...

btw, how many pre LP cars are actually for sale as listed, and how many ads are a sham? anyone who's called prepared to share...
