With regards to the pictures:

For me personally, they have restored a glimmer of hope that this film might still turn out to be pretty good. I'm a fan of the new suit, I love that fact it's similar to the The Dark Knight Returns and will fit nicely with the MOS style.

Still not convinced about Affleck, but I learnt my lesson after Heath Ledger's Joker; so I'll withold judgement. I'm a big fan of Snyder and think he did a good job with MOS, so all is not lost.

The batmobile has shades of Tim Burton to it, which I don't think is a good thing.
Can I ask why, I think the burton Batmobile was the best looking next to the animated series Batmob of the early 90's. The Nolan Bat Tank whilst cool, didn't have the nice look of the burton sleek but muscular one.
The trouble with the Burton Batmobile is that, given it appears to be powered by an axial-flow turbojet, Bats is sitting exactly where the combustion chamber ought to be...

It will take miraculous writing the likes of which Goyer is not capable of to make this anything other than a clusterfk.

Am I missing something here... how is Batman ever going to compete with Superman?

The title does suggest they will be against each other doesn't it?

Surely it will be a little more imaginable than:
Superman is kicking ass, but then....
(insert baddie here) discovers / unveils a lump of Kryponite he found is the wastes of Siberia

Superman is paralised until (insert baddie here) decides a quick death isn't good enough and so contrives to (insert mad method of killing Superman here) and take over the world.

Bruce Wayne seriously pissed that some super powered aliens have destroyed Metropolis and almost the world. The one in the red cape is a killer to boot. Captured on video and broadcast everywhere when he snapped Zods neck.

Thus Bruce starts developing tech to fight such a threat.
Joins with his rival, who he doesn't like-Lex in order to be able to fight the aliens should they seek to
Attack earth again.

Initially Bats thinks Supes is the enemy. Then they realise they are
On the same side. They team
Up with some other heroes who Bats has discovered exist, to fight the threat Luthor has developed....

This has always been my problem with Batman inhabiting the same world as Superman, on one side you have someone who can literally move planets, on the other you have a rich billionaire who dresses up as a bat and is a bit handy with the old martial arts.

In the comics, Batman has overcome Superman by using his brains when in actual fact, any confrontation would be over in Superman's favour, literally before you could blink. The whole Batman in a superhero powered world just never sat right with me and they often bend over backwards to try to make him fit in and be relevant but it never really works IMO.

Not to mention Nolan's previous "realistic" portrayal of the Batman universe has taken them down a road with very little room for superpowered heroes and yet they are somehow still going to try to link the two and it just seems to be a bit of an uphill struggle for this film. I hope I am proved wrong though.
