Why do people still leave animals in hot cars.

I hope they face charges.

Un fking believeable. Dumb tt leaving that poor dog. No wonder it panicked. It was probably delirious due to the heat. So relieved it was saved though smile

Had this the other day in the Gordano Services on the M5. A group of us were meeting there for a drive. Car pulls up near us and 3 people get out and start walking to the main building. When they are about 20 yards away from car the dog they had left in it started going ballistic jumping around and barking/ yelping.
It doing so in front of us lot who were now watching them shamed the owners into going back to get the dog and take it with them.

10 mins later we saw a woman pull up in a brand new 5 series who just got out and left it running. She had a dog in the boot so guess she was just leaving it with the air con on. I'm presuming its a keyless go jobbie and she could lock it with the fob from outside?

I leave my dog in the car all the time, but I leave the car running and with the AC on full crank (It's been well into the 90s/40sC here recently).

I lock the door with the key thing and take the fob with me. Apparently once locked you can't get the car out of park without the fob even if running. When it's this hot, even with a breeze, I won't take the poor guy in my classic cars without Air Con.
