Drivers Roads North wales please

Hi guys,

I have recently come back from a south wales trip which was amazing I had a fantastic time really enjoyed myself driving the car and stretching her legs. The scenery was amazing I'm now hoping to have two days round wales on Thursday and Friday.

It would be much appreciated if one could please recommend roads or areas that I really shouldn't miss out on. Many Thanks. :-)

I am from N Wales originally and after 25 years in the overcrowded South East I love getting the chance to drive back up there.

There are so many around Snowdonia that you can't go far wrong, I always like this one from trawsfynydd, A4212 then back to Ffestiniog - often a copper just before you turn back on yourself

Exactly the road I was going to suggest. And I'm on it this Friday

Otherwise, Capel Curig to Llanberis is always a good one, or try following the A498 from Tremadog (the Aberglaslyn pass is stunning), pick up the A4085 towards Caernarfon but turn off for the B4418 which will take you into Penygroes and onto the A487.

Ffestiniog B4391 then on to A4212 then left onto B4507 takes you up to Cerrigydrudion (aka bottom corner of the evo triangle)

A5-A470-A494 is a good loop around snowdonia, also the A496 Llanelltyd-Barmouth-Harlech road is very picturesque.
