Quick question please guys.

On the basis that ceramic discs last, say, 200k miles if the car is not tracked... how often would you typically have to replace your pads during that period?

on the basis of one made up number I will go with 42.

Twelvety.

Or on a more helpful note, the old man's Turbo had the fronts changed at about 26k I think, there was still plenty of meat on them but not worth the risk of scoring the discs for the sake of what is effectively a few quid.

Very helpful - good work.

Audi suggests discs last up to around 185k - clearly that will differ by individual, but it's a line in the sand given a certain driving style.

Given that driving style, I was asking whether those wiser than I could opine, based on their experience or otherwise, how long a set of pads would typically last.

Interesting, thanks.

I guess scored rotors has a whole new meaning when you're looking at £thousands to replace.
