Investment Banker, spunks all his money on a get rich quick scheme and we're his safety net.

Is provided with a safety net in the form of a one bed flat on the condition its for single occupancy then moves his wife and two kids over from the Phillipines then gets served eviction notice and expects to be bailed out again!

Not annoying in the least!!

Makes me feel very lucky for what I have. Beggers belief why so many choose to tie themselves to one area in particular. Suppose some have their reasons.

Your post has already been deleted from before. I suggest tone it down or none of us will be able to discuss this program. It is frustrating for me also.

Likewise, makes me feel extremely lucky...

But watching these types of programs brings a huge variety of emotions.

I wouldn't live in any of the places shown and that is coming from someone who lives in Mansfield!

Indeed, but if nobody ever took a risk in this world, where would we as a people be?

I think he's paying quite severely for his fk ups IMO.

Some of these people that think they should be given a perfect house at council rent rates could do with a reality check though. One of the main solutions would be to not have ten fking kids then expect the rest of us to just provide for you and your spawn!

Unfortunately the gentlemen with health issues is typical of the ones who have to wait as a part of the system.

True, but also an interesting contrast - whatever the circumstances he's desperate and seems realistic about what he could get - he'll take anything.

Compare with several others who have turned down multiple properties.

To an extent, I think if someone is funding the greater proportion of your housing costs, you bloody well take what you are given, or enter the private market with everyone else.

Of course, as I said, extremely frustrating. However, some are well in need of it A LOT more than others.

It was the point at which he said that Council Housing is meant to be a safety net, it was that sense of entitlement I found frustrating.

Nothing wrong with taking a risk, but he should have kept enough of his cash back as a safety net, his daughters 16 so he knew he had a family to support when he took the risk.

He has a job now so why not look to house his family in a cheaper area and commute to work.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing eh

It's sad to see the 'workers' struggling. Even if he did make mistakes.
