Yep just about perfect for the bike today, although the same can't be said for the first few days of this week!

Squatting just felt odd. Need to get back into it so started with a fairly easy session, which turned out to be harder than I wanted it to be!

Squats
5 x 3 at 170kg

OH Press
5 x 5 at 70kg

Chins
3 x 3 at 40kg

Dips
3 x 4 at 60kg

0530 day 4 week 3>

Standing strict:

Painful to get going, but ok after that.

Week 4, Day 1 - StrongLifts 5x5

Squat - 5x5 @ 47.5kg
OH Press - 5x5 @ 30kg
Deadlift - 1x5 @ 65kg

Manic at work now so I wasn't sure if I was going to beable to get to the gym. Managed to squeeze in 30 mins so after a quick warm up and then super-setted the OH Press warm-ups while doing the squat working sets - it saved a bit of time.

Unfortunately, I've had to eat all day was a banana and a bowl of noodles grabbed on the run. I felt it in the squats - while I did the sets ok, i could feel I was laking in energy. then I surprised myself with the OH Press, which were fine. I'd expected to stall by now.

Obviously getting stronger! A bit...!

Home workout again yesterday evening:

6x12 Standing DB Press
6x12 Lat Raises
6x12 Shrugs
6x12 Front Raises

All with 16kg DBs

Working all the hours I can is interfering with my gym time. Another week or so and it'll be done and I can get back to normal.

Sets of 50. Can do 100 if I need to show off... wink

Just practice really, Started at 10 everyday for a week, then upped to 20 and so on. Took a bit of time to get to 50. I tend to do 250 everyday unless I'm in the gym or training something else at home smile

Day 1, week 4>

Squat:
220kg x 2,3,3,3,3,3,3,3
Bench:
120kg x 2,3,3,3,3,3,3,3

Squats almost killed me, the rest of the week will not be nice. Still, only 3 sessions before a wee break and a reset.

I'm really pissed off - work is conspiring that I can't get to the gym for a while.

Yesterday was meant to be a session but I'm now working 18hr days (events industry) for the next 3 weeks and simply can't get the time, or have the energy. I might be able to snatch the odd session but I'm really annoyed that I can't keep to the program.

Not gunna do program A, I've got something else in mind - DD you didn't sell program a as you kept saying it was hard graft. hehe. Might still turn to it soon though.

Funny you should say that! .....

Stalled out today- everything just too sore and weak to do anything. Possibly I started too heavy with the squat, and just couldn't complete the last week.

Going back to my previous plan which suited me. Keeping the pressing as it is as it seems to be working well, but legs/back/hips are in bits now so will need a bit of a break to recoup. Glute has started to hurt all the time too, which is messing up everything- squats becoming increasingly lopsided, which won't end well.

Interesting change, which was needed- but too much to keep going with on. I know what works well for me, so that's what I'll go back to. Deadlifts are out (too sore), Front Squats back in.

Been a tough few weeks.

Sounds like you need to take a break for 3 or 4 days DD?! good chance you'll come back stronger and hopefully avoid any impending injuries and further niggles.

I'll carry on with the pressing, but drop squats/deads for about a week. Should have gained a bit of strength once I'm recovered. Need to shift the Glute niggle too, but dropping deadlifts should sort that one out.
