I was out in the garden yesterday watching the bees and butterflies when i noticed a bee that looked different from the others, more gingery and no yellow stripe. I took some photos and it seems it's a Tree Bee, a relative newcomer to this country and not that common! Anyone else got them? Always nice to see something new.
We have these as well, along with 3/4 other types I've seen which includes a very small mostly/all black Bee which could have been a small juvenile of another type.
Also treated a Wasps nest in our garden to ciggie smoke and a resulting small bush fire the other week and washed the remains out with the hose to prevent further burning!
