Update.

6 weeks would appear to be a long time in this crazy 'tulip bulb' market.

360CS and 993RS have raced ahead of 430Scud in last 6 weeks. Will it continue?

It might continue to go up for a bit, but my guess is it will come crashing back down again. 50% in 6 months?

When the property bubble bursts and the investors (cough) sell up and buy cheap property?

Agree it will carry on up for next perhaps 12 months and then come back a bit - not 50% though.

Big difference between now and 1991/2 is that in 1991/2 speculators were borrowing at very high interest rates to buy, so had to panic sell when market turned...now people are buying with cash which was earning very low rates of interest so do not have to sell.

Who knows, it might all just start to slow down and drift sideways a for a few years....

But I'm not saying 'things are different this time'!

Thanks for that but only a couple of RHD's. Nothing there really floats my boat. The launch colour blue car would be a cracker but personally I have never seen one like it before and I'm not sure if it looks a bit "soft" for a Scuderia hence the competitive price. You would of thought the launch colour would show the car at its best and therefore attract a premium ?

Worth a look along with the lower mileage grey one they have. With so few available I either bide my time or not be so fussy about things like gold wheels and red harnesses

I think the grey one was owned by the guy who also used to own my Ford GT. if he looked after the Scud in the same way, it will be a lovely car

I think the scud could possibly have been my old car, mileage would stack up and the stripes look right.
Gold wheels look fab in my opinion even tho I wasn't 100% when I bought it! I believe they were homage to Jody Scheckter for his time at Ferrari.

In my search for a Scud 5 years ago I refused to even look at cars with gold wheels to start with, thought they were hideous.
Ended up buying a black car with gold wheels on the basis that I would have the colour changed correctly on the wheels to the silver option (circa £600) as the rest of the car ticked all the boxes for me.
I delayed painting them slightly as I thought maybe they are not tooo bad, and thank goodness I did - I just love the gold now, they are a real grower. They are often very positively commented on by bystanders as well, more than the stripe etc.

Don't let the gold wheels put you off, simply paint them or keep them !

As for the Scud itself, 5 years on and it's still a massive thrill every time I drive it.

Not so sure. One major Ferrari dealer told me that 86% of all his new Ferraris were via Ferrari finance. That's bonkers. Like who would pay 8% pa on 50% just to have a Ferrari? Kinda explains why there's too many 458s and the balloons are looking more like lead weights. Ok, so this is new cars, but I bet the second hand market is not so different. Madness.
