totally awesome!
I have a female dragon - astonishingly grumpy bugger but very entertaining
Beardies are the best pet by far. George cracks us up with his antics, but he's a big softy too. He's grumpy at the moment as he's just had an operation to remove and abscess from the side of his mouth. He's not happy about having antibiotic injections at all, lol!I have a female dragon - astonishingly grumpy bugger but very entertaining

I've always wanted to keep a Beardie, but due to either being deployed or being somewhere else in the country, I cannot afford the time. I love how they always look like they are smiling. OP's first photo demonstrates this beautifully. Nice photos by the way.
Staples230uk, they do look like they're smiling. My wife has the first photo as her desktop at work. Everyone asks what it is. Beardies are great, they're so friendly and great fun to own and have real personalities. Our George even has his own Facebook page, he's got more friends than the Mrs! B3Svert said:
Wonderful creature and great photos! What are the sleeping/eating/etc habits? Share some more photos please
They have UV and heat light for about 14 hours a day spring and summer. We have George's lights on from 6:30am to 8:30pm at the moment. As an adult he gets fresh greens every day, some fruits as treats and live food every 3rd day. He gets either live locusts, wax worms, super morio worms, meal worms and and dunia roaches every 3rd day.He has the run of the house when he's not in his vivarium and ends the day falling asleep on us wrapped in his blanket.
Quick google shows this lot from Ph on Beardies....

lovely pictures....but think you're an amateur when it comes to fattening him up - mine looks suspiciously like a barrel! i shall take a pic of her tubtacularness for you later :0
I've seen some really fat beardies. George seems quite well controlled, he'll eat then stop when he's had enough. He's much bigger than when we got him. yeah he looks a pretty ideal shape - to be fair mine can still leap about a foot straight up so im not worried about her. I've seen fat ones which looks just grim...but then really skinny ones look even sadder. tricky balance to achieve when she seems intent on eating everything in the world!
