Seems to have disappeared from the site - gives http error when searched, just as I was about to order too frown
I found it by logging in as VIP and then searching for tumbler.

It doesn't appeal to me though so I wont be buying it. It doesn't look that great and seems massively over priced to me. I'm trying hard not to buy any lego for a while and Simpsons house and the Paris restaurant will be my next purchases.

That's what I'm doing. Had the page up the other night - but now just gives an http error?

Finally gave in and ordered myself the Mini Cooper last night- How long does postage from the lego store usually take?
Very much looking forward to this. First lego kit for about 10 years, considering the camper can next!

So i have built R2D2.....

What a disappointment.

I dont think i have ever been so under-whelmed by a Lego build or by the end result.

It just doesn't do anything at all too impress. It will be on fleabay before long as simply don't like it.

So what to build next I wonder?

Have a choice of the Millenium Falcon, the 4x 4 Crawler, the Recovery Truck (42008), the Unimog or the Crane (42009) from last years group buy.

Or should I buy the Camper Van??????
Get the camper van. It's an interesting build, looks great and is a lot cheaper than all the others you've mentioned.
+1 on the Camper. It's a good built with really nice details and it displays very well.

Couple of days. I was impressed, especially given that p&p is free.

Went to the Lego store in Westfield on Tuesday - they had all the new(ish) Star Wars sets including the Jawa Sand Crawler, the Death Star and Super Star Destroyer. Not exactly cheap! eek

They also had the Mini at £74.99 (same as online). No VW Campers in store. The new Bat Man Tumbler was also on display but didn't ask if they had any in stock.

The Death Star and SSD are excellent sets and worth the money in build time alone, SSD took me about 15 hours, the Death Star a bit longer. The SSD is huge and look absolutely amazing when done. The Death Star is also huge and has many clever little features through-out. Getting these two sets are what gives me the dilemma of my next set. The X-Wing and R2 are both nice, but over £150 for a 3 hour build time that won't be very challenging doesn't seem worth it. Hence why I think I'll get the mobile crane from last year.

I might get the Sand Crawler at Christmas, as that seems a decent size with a reasonable build time. I don't want an £270 set to be complete in 6 hours.

I think alot about build time, finsihed article and complexity, the best "value for money" set I've got recently has been the F1 car. All IMHO of course.

Agreed, the campervan is really good, and I suspect will be discontinued very soon.

If you want a challenge, build it "mirror image" so it's right hand drive with the opening side doors on the left.... smile
I've been thinking about doing this. Might give it a go when the evenings start drawing in.

Crikey, I was chuffed that my girlfriend just bought me the Parisian Cafe for my birthday. But then she is saving for a house, and if Lego put a dent in that it would be somewhat bizarre laugh

Would the other 2 be regarded as successful if you combined their resources.

Picked up a bundle of 'mixed' Lego the other week locally for a reasonable price, and have just completed the first few of the sets, having sorted all the bits out etc.

So far, I've got the following built:

10174 - Star Wars AT-ST Ultimate Collectors Series (100% Complete, with manuals, sticker sheet (unused) and box (bit tatty)) See picture below.
6206 - Star Wars TIE Interceptor - 100% complete with manual (no box)
7669 - Anakin's Jedi Starfighter - 98% compete [missing parts ordered] with manual (no box)

Yet to build:

7899 - Police Boat with manual
7237 - Police Station inc bike/car/helicopter with all manuals
and some smaller Star Wars sets

Looking on the Eurobricks site today a lot of the 2015 sets names been discovered.

Most interesting of all is the new 'Super Car' theme:

458 Italia GT2
La Ferrari
McLaren P1
Porsche 918 Spyder
McLaren Mercedes Pitstop
Porsche 911 GT Finish
F14 and Scuderia Ferrari Truck

I look forward to seeing the pictures of these sets. I'm particularly interested in the Ferrari Truck set.
