I've acquired LDD file and parts list for that AT-AT.

Watch this space.
37 parts left to get all the rest here and ready to go. The 37 parts left are ordered and I collect them from the states in a couple of weeks time. Monster job to get them all.

That's damn annoying. I'm not getting my stock for 3 weeks yet... And they tell me they are trying to support independents....

I'll happily do bit of a deal on some of the speed champions stuff at the end of the month if any of you want to wait. I don't mind either way...

I'm more than happy to wait, you've sorted us out a few times on this forum so would much rather buy from someone who deserves the business.

Maybe you could sell some to Top Gear and we can finally get to see all three on the track..

Surely the better option for that would be a TG test track Scalextric digital 3 lane set, assuming the cars are available...

Ever laid that track out Russ?

You're way ahead of me, I've sorted through my spare parts and found just over 800, I just need to motivate myself to order the 5000+ more parts I need. I find bricklink such a ball ache to use so I keep putting it off.

I had someone at work create the code needed to upload it straight onto bricklink. Most parts I bought in one go was just short of 3,500. Could have bought them way cheaper but the hassle is too great. The last 10 parts were individual items from bricklink stores that I had to buy other things to make it up to minimum order values.

Really pleased we have it all though.

Peter gave me the upload file when i bought the LDD file, it's just the issue of updating it for all the parts I have then actually navigating bricklink that I'm struggling to find the motivation for. What has it cost, if you don't mind me asking? Did you struggle to find any parts?

Hello,

It came down to 14 parts which were difficult. We are now buying parts for another at the moment and will make both of them together and you can see the shortages of parts. It is bloody expensive, a lot more than most would expect, I think I read that one of the first ones was made for £600, you will not make one for less than double that, triple that is more of a sensible figure to aim for.

You can make them for less but I could not be bothered to go through comparing part prices (in most cases).

It's my birthday today. Wife just sent me a promo email about the HeliCarrier with a question mark in the forwarded message bit.

I replied cool.

She then came back with "went to order, just seen how much it is"

No. not for lego.

Geek.

I may have to point out she has a £600 handbag she never uses.

Sorry for late replies chaps, currently in Vegas and I'm finding more interesting things than PH to do wink

I'm back on the 23rd, at which point speed champions should have just landed so more than happy to sort some bits and pieces out then.

Yes we used to have a a TG set although we don't sell it anymore. I'll have a look when I'm back.

A quick question

On brick link: do you have to raise a separate order for each supplier. I have a parts list I want to orde in the simplest fashion possible.
I tried the lego page but most of the bricks weren't available.

Any help is appreciated

Yep, you order separately from each supplier, check the terms for postage and handling costs and minimum buys, the cheapest parts prices might not be the best overall deal.

Start by logging in then creating a Wanted list, you can then list everything with prices for the cheapest 20 stores for each part. You can quickly get a feel for rare/expensive bits. Also try software called Brickficiency, it doesn't always work buy can help. BlueMR2's advice about following each stores rules is also essential to follow.

They are all over Amazon today so I guess it won't be long until they are all over fleabay.

Only thing - so many to choose from & so little money to spend this month so what should I buy????
I went for the small car sets this month + some Technic & will get the rest next month. Might get a second set too, bound to be worth something in a year or so when they are 'retired'

proper lego-makers do their own designs.

the point of lego is not to build from the instructions. You need to do this once, then after that make it into something much cooler.
