My wife had an argument with a bollard and lost, so her Skoda needs a new wing, door edge straightened, sill-end repaired and paint.

I've experienced Apollo Motors in Basingstoke before and been left disappointed with the final result, despite several attempts, so will be resisting any attempt by insurance to push it to their approved bodyshop.

St. Georges in Camberley has been recommended, but I would prefer to keep it closer to home if possible. I'm considering either Martins/VW in Old Basing or otherwise R&R Autos in Brighton Hill. Anyone have any experiences to share?

We've just had a Transit done by Apollo and second your thoughts on their work. They even did the panel lines in a black marker pen. Terrible job. If you could get to Newbury, then Headley Bodyshops are pretty good. Avoid Newbury Crash Repairs too.

I have used Martins a few times and been very happy with the result. Came out cheaper on two occasions than other VAG approved body shops

If it's not too far I'd recommend Frazer at Headley Bodyshop (Based in Newbury) - I put all my work through him and am always happy with the results (as our my very fussy customers usually)! May be worth popping to see him anyway, or send him through the pics and I'm sure he can quote you - Say Nick from DMC recommended you and see what he can do 07880 725346. He works late most nights so can usually be around after work time if you wanted to see him face to face but otherwise over the phone is usually fine.

Have done some good work in the past, they also have a facebook page where you can see all their work.

I had a good experience with Car Techniks in Hook. I was just having a rusty arch repaired but got talking to the owner of a Ferrari who was just picking it up after some more significant work had been done.

Rob Elliot, he's got a small body shop on the A30.
A good friend of mine Steve, works with him and did some work on a friends TF after she had a row with a fence post, which was excellent. She was delighted.
