Happens to the best of us (i.e. me) frown

Did mine at traffic queuing speed, tried to move over to give a scooter a bit more room and CRUNCH. It's no fun...

My commiserations .
I have solved this problem by allowing my manservant to accompany me.
When in doubt he exits the car, does a 'recce' and advises me on suitable procedure .
I believe MG does the same but uses his long suffering wife.

It happens. The nearside is a bit of a pain to judge sometimes. My mrs has hit the kerb twice now. I've left the most recent one unfixed (it's only small) as a reminder to her before she steps into it biggrin

I know how you feel. I did both nearside wheels of my DB9 in a multi-story car park last week.

Until Aston ownership I had never kerbed a wheel, drove into the side of the garage door and dented the nearside front wing nor overfilled an engine with oil.

Go figure.

Sorry to hear this. Aside from suggesting use of a cushion (sorry couldn't resist it; you can slap me when we meet) don't know if it helps but sheldons in Manchester have done kerbed wheels on my last 3 cars. Spot on job a ton a corner.

Forgot to plug in my ipod when I drove off a couple of months ago. Pulled over knowing how much room I had between me and the kerb. However, just my luck to pull over at the exact same place where there is a storm drain. The drain has a lip on the top of the drain, which I hadn't seen and also which I didn't expect to have to take into consideration. Yep kerbed the edge of the nearside front, one month old sports pack alloys. furious

On a further note, kerbing aside, has anyone noticed the small ammounts of damage that appears on your alloys just by driving the car, little stones coming up off the road etc?? now that is really annoying mad

Only problem is, if we start to worry too much, we wouldn't drive out cars biggrin

I think if we are honest, all of us have kerbed an alloy at some point in our lives whether it's an Aston or not.
It's still bloody annoying and most of the time we are the only ones that notice.

Yep I know its there, but if you stand away from the car you can't see it.

Did both fronts within 2days... Kerb in Tesco avoiding a runaway trolley - fat ugly woman just let go of it on steep slope!!(offside) and nicked near side near Goodwood avoiding large truth in middle of road!! Got them fixed under wheel and tyre insurance I took out when I bought the car. £500 for 2years and up to 10 claims I I remember..

luckily the same guy we use at work does them for aston, but in true man maths fashion its the excuse i needed to have them all painted in a brighter silver.
