Another rule introduced but not enforced. UCI really doesn't help itself sometimes.
just give them a 30 sec penalty for each section not ridden.
Or simply block the entrance.

Are race radios allowed in these races, I don't think they are? I imagine if so, Etixx probably would have brought him in with Boonen on the back wheel and let him sprint it out?

Race radios on World Tour races only. The team cars were allowed up to discuss tactics according to Inrng.

According to this article on INRNG, the UCI changed the rule so that riders can use paths as long as it’s safe to do so.

Could be interesting, Astana are on the startlist, I assume they can compete whilst under investigation? would be a shame as Boom could go well here.

- Strade Bianche?? took me sometime to find that out!!

Best contest thus far was AC V Froome abeit not a one day classic.

Whatever race it is the UCI need to think long and hard about adding a load of boring laps in the race near the end.

I agree entirely place to place races are the cornerstone of the history of European cycling this new fad for lap after lap of a circuit is I presume for a TV audience.

I'd suggest less for TV audience, more for TV production costs.

Tv all the same .When they do Milan San Remo or Paris Roubaix why not just do a crit at the end.
History means something.

Not saying it's a good thing, just that I doubt audiences are demanding it.

in the UK its hard to get the distances into races so I understand why a loop circuit is used but these classic races must be maintained as they have always been

Great ride from Stybsr, he played those last three kms very well, interesting to see Valverde on the aeroad go that race and not the CF SLX, is cancellara now having to save his matches and will Van Avermart ever win a classic again?...

Paris-Nice should be fun, some great rides in the prologue, Kwiatkowski looked sharp, as did Dennis (who must have thought 8kms was a bit of fun folllowing the hour record!) Boom and Degenkolb.

Cannodale-Garmin look strong in depth as do BMC. Really hope Talansky and TvG have good years free from injury.

The most interesting comment was from Kelly though who said that Astana will be takling Aru to the Giro with just 20 race days in him this year...

Just read that Frome is out of Tirreno - Adriatico due to a lung infection, was looking forward to Contador and him duking it out again this week.

Shame that Froome has pulled out of Tirreno too, it would have been good to see Froome vs Quinatana vs Nibbles vs Contador at least once....

Boonens fall was really bad luck especially at this stage of the season and I was surprised to see Wiggo lose his rag whilst at the head of the peloton bringing back Voeckler and DelapLace
