Did they not mention a limit of 2000 cars or was it production window?
They mentioned 2000 as a target indeed. No idea where they will end up as they are out of sequence now with the 991.2 on the production line in September, (same line as the RS) so they will have a few challenges I expect. No facelift RS for now and no 2017 model I am told. RDMcG said:

True…Sep 2. Getting the car wrapped same day at Schwabenfolia in Stuttgart. Many thanks for the tip on Porsche Tage, so driving directly to Zell am See for the event, then some touring (Ins\nsbruck, Rothenburg,Dresden etc and into Hamburg where the museum is letting my do a shoot with the RS alongside their Typ 64,then over to the Nordschleife for a few days, then Sachsenring, Berlin, and out. Three weeks. Hopefully it will all come off on schedule.Great that you are getting yours!…If I am in Ireland it might be around that time, and I will PM you!.

How was the weather today? Were you able to form any views vs 991 GT3 ?? How does it sound vs the Sharkwerks kit??
Cheers
Terry
Weather was a damp start , drying up later , so good to drive in varying conditions : drove with care in the wet , still very quick , but I felt I had to be mindful of lower grip levels . As the track dried out the grip increased to a level over and beyond the 3 . The speed is absolutely effortless and abundant. The car is very similar to the 3 just with the dial turned up a little more , it felt no less compliment and finessed , just a little more , well , "more" I guess. The car is easy to drive , but will bite you if your inputs are clumsy - it sounds great , better than the 3 , but maybe not quite as good as the 3 with a SWBP. I drove the Lava car , I've gone from thinking it's an "ok" colour when I first saw it to really liking it after seeing it a few times. I think in summary it just felt like an engineering masterpiece , raw , fast , easy , dangerous , comfortable , fun , fierce - everything & more , all wrapped up in one package with a very broad repertoire - I had a lovely time Cheers
