A few years ago I always used to see a Lotus Elan +2 on my drive into work. Every morning, come rain or shine, it was there (which was probably quite an achievement for a classic Lotus). More recently I've been seeing a BMW 3.0 CS that appears to cover almost the exact opposite of my route home. It appears like clockwork.

Anyone else had a similar experience?

I usually see my old boss either driving his California or Phantom. Probaly only interesting cars I usually see on my daily commute.

No, not really. On my 40 mile commute (A15, A1, A57) the occasional AMG or XKR for example. I think an Aston once but couldn't tell you which model, they all look the same to me :-)

Very rarely. A lot of the time the best (for me anyway) car that I see is the one I'm in!

Every day I see an old XJ-S, and recently i've often seen a blue Vauxhall Chevette. Nothin amazing, but good to see something different being used for the daily grind.

On a previous job I used to regularly overtake a couple of DB9s and a Nobel M12, plus quite a few 911 variants. The joy of using a motorbike on the M25 at rush hour hehe

Most of the ones I see are in the car park at work. I see quite a lot of things like GTRs, M3s and 911s on the road but personally I wouldn't class them as interesting.

Depends what time I leave.

While the schools are off I've been commuting later, but the last few days I've seen an Elan M100.

I also frequently see 3 different S1 Elises. And for a number of weeks I used to run across a rather cool looking Ford SVT Raptor.

But then I'm driving circa 40 miles each way to work, so I see a lot of cars each day. 99% of them are boring as hell!! Amazes me why, sorry, how so many people can stand such mundane and dull transport.

Regularly see a bright green Toyota Supra (80s model) with a mad aftermarket wing on the back. I really like it, don't know why.

Also a mint, light blue F-reg Maestro, which is so random is almost cool.

Because it's transport. Most petrol heads often forget that it's the people who enjoy driving who are in the minority biggrin

COSWORTH STI and RS 3 and the odd F-TYPE everyday ,also once a week there is a ferrari 430.

Might aswel mention that sutton coldfield has the highest number of AMGs ive ever seen anywhere , so they are no longer interesting in the rarity stakes .

Most days;

A Mclaren Mp4-12c (black one)
An original Scirocco
A modified blue thing that was once a classic 4 door saloon from the 70s but is no longer recognisable
The inside of a Z4M
A grey Ferrari 458. Why grey? It looks dull!

Oh, and a new one this morning - Ultima GTR

See quite a lot on my daily travels- lots of AMG's and xk's.

Also see a few r8's, got the pleasure being behind an SLS, and often see an orange f-type with an even more orange older female driver.

I have occasionally (in the Summer months, anyway) seen an old MG Midget on my commute.

And I mean an old one like this;

In fact, I actually think this might even be the one, as the one I see does have an "MG ???" plate on it....
