Yep agree....my last car was a SL55 which was probably the best all round car I have owned.......the big AMG are not my cup of tea but they are very quick. For me it will always be about how a car makes you feel when you get in to it and turn the engine on .

That's Identical to mine (assuming you have the black interior), which I've had for 2 months. You'll enjoy it - it's definitely quick and excellent on longer journeys. It's probably the only saloon car I've driven that seems to have a bit of soul to it, although the V10 M5 was also fairly impressive, as was the E39 come to think of it.
I'll be interested to hear what you think of it coming coming from an Aston. I've had loads of positive comments from passers by and plenty of people trying to get alongside for a closer look. Quite surprising given that in most people's eyes it's 'just' a fast E class.
