probably just weeding out the daydreamers and tyrekickers, those who are seriously interested in that type of machine will surely have some savvy/knowledge to know what its about and test the vehicle too.

I half get the idea, those who would buy it will phone up so he can give them a decent sales pitch over the phone rather than have people just stick it on a list with others they are interested in.
