That is a very nice detailed engine. Is that the original manifolds polished up? Are the manifolds stainless?

Yep. Original manifolds. Took them to a local polisher and £60 later they looked like that!
Can't wait for them to turn a lovely straw colour...

ETA yes, they're stainless - at least I think they are... confused

Lovely job Dave. Yes the early rocker covers are great and yes the stainless manifolds look good once they go that nice straw colour. I would love to get my engine to that level of detail, but will wait until I have to take it out, because that is the only way to deal with it properly, like yours Dave. Keep us posted mate, all the best, Pete

Some Magnecor KV85 leads would set that off a treat.

Excellent, working with and improving what is there, no purple hoses etc. spot on, looks great. Looks old school rather than halfools.

Quick update..
The body has been repaired and painted underneath and bolted back on to the chassis
All the plumbing and wiring is complete
And now it's painted.. smile

Thanks to Peter at the Sports car shop and Stuart and Matt... Top job straight from the gun and first class prep including loads of repairs where the fiberglass had stress cracks. clap

After a cut and polish it should really shine.. cool

Sensational engine. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT forget to put the oil cap back on after you top it up.

Love the tidy up of the injector wiring, neat.
Some think just polishing does it, but it's more than that.
