Help fitting wheel centres and exhaust
Discussion
Bone question I'm afraid.....just bought some lovely new crested wheel centres, with the plastic surround from porsche shop in halesowen.
Tried prising the old ones out and plastic splitting etc...am quite inept mechanically! Any top tips?
Also looking at making my 996 a little more "fruity", not that fussed about power and don't want to spend too much as a tight wad! Reccommended to just buy some exhaust tailpipes for couple hundred squid but not entirely convinced that they'll make that much difference?

SIKO said:I started to get some old centres off to put the coloured cresty things on and decided the same thing might happen so I used the teeth on a plastic fork to ease the old uns out a bit all round, then gave it some, hoping that if anything broke it would be the plastic fork. I was right - but eventually the caps came out. No doubt an OPC will sell you some factory tool with a part number on it and an impressive sounding name...for about £845 plus VAT. Be careful out there.
