I am doing the Easytrack Nurburgring days next month and don;t want to risk the RS when I haven't really driven the ring before.

So I have bought a race prepared 924 Turbo. It has race spec tyres on now and the sizes are:-

235/605 R16 and 265/603 R17

What does this equate to in standard road tyre sizes.

Thanks Sean

No I will be taking the RS to Bedford. The 924 needs some work before hand.

These are radial race tyres Sean: check out the 'Race Tyres' section on the Avon web site (www.avonracing.com/frames.htm). As far as I know, the first number is the width (in mm) as per normal road tyres, the second is the diameter (in mm) and the third the rim diameter (in inches).

So my rough calculations give:
235/605 R16 = 235/40R16
265/603 R17 = 265/35R17

Sean,
The rear tyres were 265/630 R17 (not 603), I think you wrote it down wrong ???

Ok, that could make sense.
