Yeah, looks good but tbh, think my pre-ordered PS4 may well be sitting in its box due to GTA5..

Might be able to make some money on the PS4 in the christmas run up dependant on stock..

I am sure I read somewhere that Sony had binned off the developer house that was working on Driveclub.

Although this says doesnt effect release date.

Did see the release date changed to "TBA 2014". Considering the game was for launch, then first quarter it does not bode well. If it was being done by PD then that would be different wink

Loooooong way away.. frown

Oh well, might be done with skyrim by then. Trailer looks good, cleaner than the gameplay footage shown last year.

I was looking forward to this game, but all the talk of "community based" and "social gaming", plus limited steering wheel support makes me wonder if this will be more like a "Need for Speed" arcade type game, rather than a Gran Turismo / Forza type racer.

Does anyone know if any other decent racing games are coming for the PS4? I bought the PS4, but hardly use it as none of the games appeal. I often wonder what I bought the PS4 for...

Cheers,
Steve

Amazed that there wasn't something incredible available at launch, I only got a PS4 a week or so ago but can't see any games I want to have apart from BF4, usually I get by with one driving game and one shooter.

Really looking forward to Driveclub, the trailers that I have seen and game play footage really make it look interesting. Also the aspect of the crew unlocking stuff for you whilst your not playing is a great feature.

Any Scottish members, I believe DriveClub has a stand at Scottish car show this Sunday, hopefully I'll manage to get past the kids playing it to have a shot hehe

Are there any worthwhile racing games around already?

It's odd for me because console purchases have always been in conjunction with a driving game and at the moment the cupboard is bare.

Played it at Scottish Car Show today smile was alright but nothing extraordinary. Obviously just a demo so not final release but things I noted were:

Quite a weighty feel to the cars but fairly generic handling.

Sounds were ok. When you cut a corner on to gravel it plays a loop that doesn't always last the length of time you're on the gravel. Was quite annoying is the rubble noise just 'stops'

Graphics were fairly pretty, brake lights of cars in front spazz out a bit when it's dark, but may have been the TV.

Was quite nice to play though, nice detailed and involving tracks. Nothing really outstanding. Felt like a more detailed Forza Horizon with slightly dumbed down handling.

Anyone got this on preorder?

It comes out on 8th Oct. Tbh I cant wait to get hold of it after years of COD, the idea of driving for your club is quite a good idea.

I pre-ordered Project CARS. I expect I will buy this too though, subject to how the reviews go. The "social gaming" element puts me off a bit, as I'm a right unsociable sod! ;o) Will you have to "like" someone's car and laptimes?
