This will be mostly end up being guitar heavy but its open to anything music related and any thing from pics or straps, cases to instruments, or whatever!

At the moment got a crush on one of these, really fancy a trem system, never really felt the need for one before, but fancy playing around with it on a second guitar where I wont miss the loss of sustain as much.

That but in cream...

Charvel Model 2

Laney Lionheart-20watts, awesome amp such creamy tone.

Not sure about cabs to go with it, but Zilla cabs are meant to be pretty sweet, maybe a super fat boy with some Vintage 30s, when I'm sure of total want, I will update.

But While that would be great for shows, I'd really like a HT1, crankable wattage!

I'm after a copy of this:

Mama's Boys Official Bootleg - the original version, not the mass produced re-released version (and on a different label).

Congrats on the Charvel picture, that might just be the smallest picture of anything on the internet! hehe

My current want is a Carvin H2, which was the first Allan Holdsworth model they did. Not because I'm a massive Allan Holdsworth fan (I'm definitely a moderate fan though), but because they have always appealed to me, visually and tonally. As I say, this model arrived in the late 90's and was the first guitar Carvin made for Allan. Eventually they made the H2 'Fatboy' guitar, which is essentially the same as this but with a thicker, chambered body. I've always preferred the look of the H2 though, much sleeker and I thought it sounded better too.

I'll probably keep scoping Ebay over the next year looking for one. My ideal spec would be a flamed maple top over a Koa or Mahogany body but I'll take what I can get.

I've included a few pictures below, because they are so good looking, along with some Fatboys.

I also quite like the Carvin Jason Becker too.

They make four or five a year & price them accordingly.

I'm saving for one of these at the moment...

I've wanted a Nitefly M for years after accumulating a few P-38s

After that I'm seriously considered a Blackstar HT100.

I had one of those & truthfully, it wasn't all that great.

The bloody thing couldn't handle the other pictures I tried, so the tiny picture had to do!

Here is the colour I'm after.

I keep seeing them with EMG's fitted, I don't know why the clips of the old 80s Humbucker sounds great.

The Jason Becker Carvin is rather awesome looking, wouldn't mind getting one of their build your own strat jobs.

That would be fun.

AHHH! Forgot this!

Bullet cable! Purple I think I would get.

A holy grail to me.

I can't see it happening for a few years yet, hopefully I'll get another less rare, and much cheaper Universe at some point, to complement my K-7.

They are seriously cool guitars. I worked in a hotel that frequently had live music on and there was a guy who used to play a black Fly there, it was probably the best sounding guitar I heard there. Really, really even sounding and with a great response. He was using some sort of Fender amp. Made me think twice about those Parker guitars! I wouldn't bother with their basses though, where the Fly guitar looks sleek and ergonomic, the Fly Bass looks wretched.

Yep, UV77, the one in the picture is a 20th anniversary reissue, which iirc Ibanez punted out as collectors editions at $10,000 a pop. I'd be happy with an of the 77MCs, original or reissue.

Really want another Les Paul. Had to sell the last one due to continued poverty ... which is unfortunately still continuing.

I am, however, extremely fussy. It HAS to be Honeyburst or Iced Tea Burst, it HAS to have a flamed top (but not excessively so!) and it MUST look as much like an original '59 one as possible ... to the extent of buying the correct parts to make it look right.

Were it nt for the price, this would be a nice one:

Not sure if this company will fit the bill, Gordon Smith Guitars, they have been often noted as being better than a modern Gibson in both playablity and quality, at a cut of the price.

Sorry about the poverty, I feel your pain, been trying to sell loads of pedals to pay for a reconditioned gearbox.

Definitely one of the best looking and sounding guitars of all time. Those inlays are brilliant. Though I dare day an 'off the rack' Universe will do nicely in the meantime. If I were buying a 7 string it would have to be a classic Ibanez 7 string like a good used Universe or a K-7.

Funnily enough I've never been an Ibanez fan, but then I haven't played anything other than say a mid ranged model, mostly loaded with EMGs, and always found the necks not as slick as some other rivals, will have to have a play on one of the higher spec one when I get the chance, haven't really heard a bad word against the higher spec ones!

Here is a rather cool vid of a Classic JEM

You'd definitely do well to check out a proper top end Ibanez, be it a Japanese one or one of the very well regarded LA Custom Shop models. Whether or not you particularly dig the way Ibanez do things, there is little arguing that they aren't one of the best guitars money can buy. In terms of necks, a satin finished Wizard neck must be one of, if not the fastest and smoothest neck out there. Combine that with their edge rolling process and they can make guitars that come off the rack feeling like they've been shaped by your hand over 20 years of dedicated playing! Dimarzo would be the classic Ibanez pickups for me - as mentioned above, EMG can be a bit of leveller in that they can make many a guitar or bass sound the same!

Add to that the fact that they just seem to get everything 'right' and you have a winner. I think their lineup overall has probably been the strongest of any manufacturer since the 80's. Not only did the RG and S series guitars appeal as a pinnacle of guitar design at the time, they have enjoyed a brilliant endorsing artist list for years (Satch, Vai, Gambale, Metheny, Benson, Holdsworth, Lane and then just about every nu metal band ever). They were also the go to place for 7 strings for many years and are still a market leader in that field.

One day I'd love an Ibanez, possibly an RV470...now as rare as a clean sheet in a nursing home!

That said, my favourite guitars are still probably Jackson Soloists. An SL2H in Rootbeer, a Soloist in Bengal Tiger or a Charvel 750XL would probably still rule the roost for me. Just because...

Where are you based? I know of someone who is selling an HT100 with a Marshall Cab for £500. He works in South Wales but lives, I think in Bath. I was going to buy it myself but my band is doing my head in and I don't want to spend money on gear when I may not be using it!

Speaking of which, my musical want at the moment is a new band! Maybe I should start a thread for 'musicians wanted'.....

Primarily for me is a big amp, I use a Digitech RP300 pedal board so I'm only really after power and a good underlying clean tone. I've had a Marshall practice amp for years and was thinking something like an MG100H might be good right up until I happened to use one loaned by the rehearsal rooms we frequent and found that it made all my patches sound like they were set a maximum treble with no bottom end at all and no amount of fiddling seemed to fix it. Now I'm thinking 70s/80s 100 watt plus 2 x 12 combo a la:

or: . Any thoughts on these from the collective would be greatly appreciated. I play mainly the more extreme, sludgy end of metal btw and tend to use Mesa Boogie dual rec emulated patches with scooped mids and varying effects.
If we're talking guitars my current objects of lust are:
this:
and this: but with 2 guitars already and the need for big ampage being a more pressing one, these will have to wait.
