It's lovely, actually!

And out here it is tax free, road toll free, free ferries (a huge deal here in Norway) and workplaces let you charge them up during the day for free.

Battry packs are leasable as an option so that you never have to worry about them 'bricking'.

Some battery packs can get in to a state where it's impossibly to charge them, common issue with the army's Bowman radio batteries, if you let them get completely flat you can't recharge them.

I'm desperate to have a drive in one. Was out in San Francisco a few weeks ago and lost count of how many I saw - looks like they're really taking off there smile

They are powered by wizardry !
I went to the service place in Acton W3 a while ago to collect a battery being returned to the factory and they moved cars out of the workshop including the new models , the only noise is the squish of the tyres going across the painted floor.
By the way the battery weighs 460kg in its transport box .

There's a massive waiting list for them in Norway, Elon Musk (or whatever he's called) personalyl visited the Oslo dealer to thank them for their sales, but they wouldn't shift a single one if IC engined stuff wasn't so horrendously over-taxed in Norway IMO.
Disagree

It has some advantages over fossil fueled cars

Not of course for anyone here as we all live in 23rd floor flats with no parking and have a 600mile daily round trip commute and we only sleep for 5.78 minutes

+1 They are outselling a lot of mainstream rivals in the states. No issues with high tax or expensive petrol there. Its also very cheap to buy cars.

A lot of folks here embrace the whole environmental deal though, so they want to 'seem' as if they are helping the planet. An excess of cash helps though!

But, yes, ic engine cars are terrible here. 2 years ago I paid £21,000 for a 2007 Audi A4 19tdi!!!!

I'd love to own one (I'm on their mailing list), but until they sort out the hopeless range per charge, it just can't happen. My local supermarket is 150 mile round trip.... Sort it Tesla!

Funded by all the people that drive conventional engined cars! Ridiculous!
