I just did and I am, but not in a good way. These are really the merchants of last resort. And I'm some way from there. The dealers have offered 4k more than WBAC......

Wookietaff, your comment about finding a car that offers so much for so little is exactly what drew me into buying one.
Have you talked to Reading about a trade in price? If so could I be so bold to ask what they might offer (pm if that suits)
It does look a lovely car, is it not worth a private advert on here?

Its just gone up on Autotrader overnight and waiting to hear back from Reading today, so lets see. I'll PM you when I know more. Not 100% its a good move to sell given how great the car is so who knows, wholly depends on the offer.

Am looking potentially at a Audi RSQ3 to replace it as need a smaller foot print but its a significant cash injection to get a smaller less well equipped car.

Did test drive one before the FX but too much of a compromise I felt and don't look as good as the FX. Least the RSQ3 has the one redeeming feature of being quicker and more economical. And I've just checked a bigger boot, which is barmy.

Hi everybody.

I have added an FX 3.7 to my garage of sport cars recently…but it is a bit quiet!. On a recent visit to Glyn Hopkins, I tried the 5L with the modified exhaust …which I would rather have liked but it was not to be !! Has anybody liberated a bit more noise from their 37’s with a new exhaust & thus could make a recommendation on a system. Many thanks Marco.

The 3.7 is basically the same engine fitted to the 370z as I understand it. I would imagine the easiest and probably cheapest way of getting more noise would be to have a company fabricate a custom back box. I am not sure where you are based but there is a company in St Albans that can make an exhaust system from stainless steel for sensible money, unfortunately their name escapes me at the moment.

The 5.0 exhaust system fitted by Reading is manufactured by Quicksilver, maybe worth a call to them too?

T5GRF - Many thanks for the info...I will have a chat with Quicksilver on the exhaust back box - do you know anybody who has fitted one on here to a 3.7?

Thanks again. M

Stonkn, no sorry I dont know anyone with a 3.7. Ask around the main dealer service departments they may know an owner.

Hi all

Very sad to see my FX go. I too looked at the Quicksilver option, but never pulled the trigger on it. Sounded great though.

Less exciting but perhaps of interest, I find I have a OEM Infiniti dog/luggage guard left over if anyone is looking for one. Hardly used as dog didn't like the boot, GBP50 plus postage if anyone increased, GBP120 I think at Dealer.

Wookietaff, sorry to hear that, did it go to Reading in the end? Did you go for the Audi as a replacement?

Yes to Reading who I think had a customer lined up as it wasn't advertised.

Looked at alot of options but alighted on a BMW M235i in the end, ex demo at a good price. Very different proposition to FX but plenty of fun.

Just noticed the FX50 on eBay painted in Arancio Pearl, does anyone know the history of the car? The advert states it was built by Infiniti Piccadilly (Reading)

Hi. I'm totally new to this forum....never joined one before so apologies if posting in the wrong area.

Infiniti M30d s premium:
I have '12 plate above. I decided to take it for a service outside of the dealer network. I took it to quick fit who said they could do it. I took it for a full service only to get a call saying after spending 2 hours on it doing all the checks the parts could not be ordered as the the manufacturer doesn't list them. I found this strange. So I walked away with a service being done apart from the parts, ie oil, filter and air filter.

Does anybody have a similar experience and if so is there anyone else who could service them. I could buy the parts from Infiniti but I want my book stamped.

Also,at another time I will write about my car. In summary this is the best car I have ever owned and have had more complimentary remarks than any other car I've owned. Will write more next time.

Hope to hear some advice.
Regards,
Greg

Your car is under warranty it's a little odd to take it kwik fit but nevertheless are you so far away from a Infinity dealer you cannot use them ? If so I would have first thought of using a Nissan dealer who can order the correct parts.

Yes it's under warranty as it doesn't run out until april'15 but Infiniti servicing is so expensive when they do very little as a minor service cost me almost 500 from Infiniti stockport.

Just been advised by Infiniti Reading, that finally Infiniti will offer a manufacturers extended warranty from Feb next year.
Quote is £900 for 2 years, comprehensive, including European breakdown cover.
This is not the old Auto Protect, but manufacturer backed...great news, but about time for what is trying to be a premium brand manufacturer!
