In summary for those who do not have time to read the articles:
Aston Martin is recalling certain model year DB9, Virage, V8 Vantage, V12 Vantage, and Rapide vehicles manufactured from May 14, 2012, through April 10, 2013. Due to a manufacturing error, the throttle pedal arm may break.

For give me if this has already been posted before, i just thought it to be useful info to anyone looking to purchase a used AM to check to make sure the work had been carried out. smile

Depending on the date your car came off the production line, quite possibly frown

This was in a thread around June time. I think many of the affected VINS were in the US and a few people in the UK had the update. My car wasn't affected even though an April build.

One would assume the U.S cars and U.K cars would be built with the same throttle arm?

Probably, but you grab one off the shelf and they aren't necessarily all from the same batch. I'm sure they identified the affected VINS.

With one being LHD.... I'd not be surprised, if they were different parts

Not too many UK cars affected and I suspect all have been dealt with by now.

LHD or RHD pedal box would contain the same pedals, just the box would be a mirror image.

As all cars whether LHD or RHD have the pedals in same order clutch far left break in middle and throttle on the right.

However as i can not find a part number for the pedal arm itself, im unable to check whether there the same or not frown

Agree on old news - mine was sorted back in July (i think) and it took about 20 minutes to do. Painless and another excuse to take the car for a run during this fantastic summer.
