Hi
Hope you don't mind me dipping into your forum
a TVR wedge owner at the moment, but keen on owning a GT6
Looking for something that will need some work, ideally interior bodywork providing it's not too bad.
I'm about to start spending money on my TVR. Respray etc, and can't decide whether to go ahead or sell and put some towards a GT6.. If there is anyone selling one or knows someone please let me know.

Well there's a coincidence , I'm on the verge of havin my TVR resprayed, and can't decide whether the sell it as is, and put money towards a GT6 or not..There seems to be a big difference in price on the GT6s
I'm gonna be on lowere end of that and to be fair, sounds like you may have spent a few quid that you will rightly want back on the sale.

Wow.. Quattro what a car! If I change from my TVR it would be either GT6 or Stag, more likely GT6
Just Finding one that's cheap enough, with the the kinda work needed that i can do, like interior maybe some bodywork depending.........I know it will be like trying to find a piece of Hay in a giant stack of needles! Ha

Been out in the GT6 tonight, I have fitted Gaz gold shocks so been getting them setup. Its driving lovely very different to to the TVR but both great cars. Its not a fast car by todays standards but can keep up.
The GT6 car gets a lot of attention and not many about.but that can be said for your TVR

I has a 67 BGT before I got this, and that was painfully slow..
I'm thinking the GT6 is gonna sit nicely between the two,
60s style and a bit quicker than the BGT...
Plus I feel I can get my round an older car, mechanically

Three years ago I went the other way by getting rid of my GT6 of 20 years and replacing it with a Cerbera. The GT6 was great fun to drive and better on twisty narrow roads that the TVR. The GT6 experience will depend on which version of the rear suspension you have and whether it has been tweaked. I had a fairly heavily modified rotoflex car with stiffer springs bigger brakes and quite a bit more.
The car is enormously better if it has overdrive. Its great fun just flicking it in and out of overdrive third, I modified my gearbox to get overdrive second. This was particularly useful in hillclimbs where I often didn't physically change gears on the course after getting out of first.
The GT6 does feel small and nippy but it has enough power to keep up with most traffic, I used to particularly enjoy driving it in busy town traffic as it can out run and out turn a taxi but makes a very good noise whilst doing it.
Its not quite the head turner that the TVR is and doesn't have the same sort of power, but with the GT6 you can use all the power without being an absolute hooligan and it is no less fun than the TVR.

I used to have all the sports 6 cars and a stag before moving on to a TVR S (think 3 litre spit)... But loved the Gt6 - was a mk3. Fun to drive. If you go Stag, then think Chimaera - TVR joke - comfy nice sound but no real sporty driving, more a golfers car 
Mk3 probably the cheapest and nice look, although mk2 was the iconic "thinking mans e-type", but more expensive.

Problem is the wedge I've got, could do with a bit more work to get it lookin better, but I'd rather spend that on the GT6
Rock and a hard place springs to mind!
