From twitter

"After 15 years, today is my last day at evo. What an amazing experience it's been but it's time to move on. What next? I'll keep you posted"

A bit fishy... or maybe he is just bored! I do wonder though how his stream of exceptional and desirable vehicles is affordable on a Dennis publications salary though... perhaps they have just noticed too!!

He owns and manages a large farm outside of Evo. He was farmer first, mag owner second.

Thanks for that, and whilst one does wonder...it is none of my business really.

Probably to be seen on PH soon then..

Nooooo!!! Harry is a true legend! First Chris Harris, now Harry. Very disappointing. will wait and see whether my subscription is still worthwhile without his insightful and entertaining articles.

As I said in my response to Garlick, none of our business. One does wonder idly however and probably nothing wrong with that.

Much as I hate this smiley... rolleyes

As above Sherlock, pretty sure that you wouldn't have been the first person to have noticed if he had been stealing press cars! biggrin

He has a very large farming business which is where he makes his real money.

He also sold Evo to Dennis many years back but they retained his services.

Will be interesting to see his next move in the journalism field (if he makes one), he has been postulating about making money from online content/video for a few years so maybe a Drive style thing?

Big loss to Evo I would say, he seemed to be one of the few carrying the original 'enthusiasts' flame in terms of the magazines direction.

That's a shame. Lets hope he keeps producing the you-tube videos in some guise. It'll be interesting to see what happens to the editorial content over the coming months. I was always assumed that a lot of the supercar content came from him.

I also thought he sold out ownership of the mag to Felix Dennis.

Thank you Sherlock though I was referring to his own collection...

Back on topic, good luck to the guy whatever he decides to do..

And so Evo takes yet another step into becomming the new Max Power.

I'll give it a few months but can see my subscription being cancelled pretty soon.

I'm always interested to read of success stories, and how people achieved their success.
Why do people care what other people are interested in?

Anyway, back O/T, that's a real shame as his contribution to the mag was both interesting and extensive, and his fleet was always really interstesting to read about, and he also seemd to have a good relationship with some of the big players in the industry which benefitted the magazine and its content.

He should do a YouTube channel like Jay Leno does. Just him, a nice car to talk about and a chap to bounce questions off if needed. No point complicating it.

Completely agree, his video diaries are superb.

He and Chris Harris could make a wonderful online tv channel for real petrolheads as opposed to the top gear troglodytes.

A real shame

He was a big part of giving the magazine it's feel and his fast-fleet updates were almost worth the cost of the mag alone

I'm hovering over the terminate button when it comes to subscription aswell. It's just too repetitive....

Harry will be a loss to the mag, last of the true car folk there IMO (in terms of real world experience).

Lovely bloke too, sat at the same dinner table many times, always sharing pics of cars on our phones (his were always better)
