How many of you are TT regulars? I've never been before but out of the blue, I've been offered free accommodation and bike garage for the duration of next years event.

Questions:

My accommodation is on the Southern 100 circuit, so best place to view nearby?

Getting to and from the island?

Best days to stay and view? I cant do whole two weeks.

Thanks

Lee

You've got the easy bit sorted, hard bit will be getting a ferry crossing, I'm not sure there's any other way to get your bike over than on a steam packet ferry.

Balance payments are all due mid-end feb though so you'll probably be in with a shot then.

Only looked once!

You know what I mean though I'm sure, steam packet is a nightmare, the tickets go so fast.

As for the best days, you're limited really to what crossings you can get. Don't be put off by 600s, stockers etc, they're all mental to watch.

As for where to watch the island is only small so just get up early and ride to where you fancy.. I enjoyed watching at the bungalow last year, can see a fair bit up there rather than just a bike blasting past, but it's still awesome sitting on the grass or a wall and having them blast past you in a straight line too. Well they're never actually that straight hehe

Take your pick thumbup

Bray hill is pretty awesome, barregarrow bottom where a lot of bikes bottom out, bungalow, veranda, glen Helen etc. Lots of good places!

Im on the same boat. Me and the girlfriend got offered free accommodation. Fortunately we booked our ferry about a month ago for the last week of the TT. As its our first year were going as foot passengers. Still costing £220 odd for the ferry.

Funnily enough I watched the Senior TT from this year again last night - M Dunlop out, Hutchy back on form and in the form, Hillier has the pace to stay with the big guns (Well he is one of the big guns now), Martin may have something in the bag. Looking forward to it already!

The car is booked on the ferry but I really want to take the escort van.

Even though the van is no bigger the fact it is a van seems to put them off.
Anyone know how to overcome this?

Put some windows in the back and call it an Estate.

+1.
Ferry balance is due by 28th Feb..spaces will become available then but be quick, I'd advise ringing them rather than relying on the website (that will most likely crash due to demand).

Good luck.
