Oh dear!
Haven't you got somewhere dry to keep it, or a waterproof cover?
Mine lives outside but under a Leven tailored hood cover which is 100% waterproof.
It's expensive but worth it.
( Believe me I've tried a few! )
Also I keep a dehumidifier inside the car when parked up in the winter to prevent any mould forming.
It's nothing fancy, just a plastic cage / tray thing with salt bag refills bought from Aldi. They are on sale again next Thursday I believe.
The tray has to be emptied every few days, it's amazing how much moisture it collects.
Hope you soon get sorted Paul.

I can provide photo later, as bought but not yet fitted. The extra complication is the retainer piece, that they bolt to, inside the targa panel has broken loose and rattles around inside,on my driverside panel, anyone offer a suggestion (apart from cutting a hole ) as to retrieving it please.
Sorry, I should have come back earlier. Never tried it on this job but the way I would approach something like this is to drill the hole out and pour epoxy resin/glue into the hole then re-drill and use new self tappers. Alternatively use VERY small plastic rawlplugs, but I would prefer the epoxy.greymrj said:

Stops the rattling. Sorted.

Some roof panels are on ebay if you still need one.

Not cheap, but cheaper than a pair of them.
OP Paul, have you got a replacement panel sorted yet?drivers

Still no bids on these, & the auction ends soon.
As a matter of interest, are they anything to do with Tom / Terrence from Cheltenham who has just got his S back on the road?
Small update. I managed to twist the arm of this Tom chap from cheltenham, and now have the replacement targa panels fitted on my S . This means I now have the oldpanels, in need of recovering, spare, should the worst event befall any of you/us. Ok for emergency cover, but need new rubbers and vinyl covering and one of the "lugs" seem smaller than the others but has never shown any sign of trying to "blowoff" . !
Main clips were available from RS online, but looks like the stainless ones are now obsolete, search part no. 3402285, the plastic ones are still listed 2455547
The alternative offered for the stainless ones doesn't look right to me?
I think these part numbers will only get you the main clips, the little bit they hook onto and the packing wedge you can see in the photo between the clip and roof panel you'll have to fabricate or find (the hook bit may be somewhere in the RS catalogue?)!
Nothing very scientific about fitting them, just some self tapping screws
ETA, haven't checked measurements but this may do?

..You need the metal ones for that
Phillpot - from your picture these clip onto the original fittings on the windscreen; is that correct?v8s4me said:
Do you think these would be long enough?
Worth a try, but will you need them with your full soft top ? not available original:
possible alternative:
looks like the screw heads are exposed when "your" one is closed whereas the "original" covers everything?
and it's only zinc plated not stainless .......
