Is there a problem with the theft of the rear light assemblies on iveco dailys?

there's a van with its rear lights missing just around the corner from me, and one near my parents

is it a problem or just a coincidence

cheers

I've not got a panel van any more, but I used to have three. The lights were stolen with such astonishing regularity, we used to take them off at night and leave them inside the van if they were parked on the street. Most nights they were in a locked yard.

The reason they get stolen is they're expensive to replace, because they're a huge one piece unit that's vulnerable to damage because of their location at the back of a van. Christ knows why they didn't make them modular so you could just replace the broken bit.

I delivered to a builder's merchants in Bristol once.

And their DAF CF lorry was just coming back from the dealer after thieves had stolen the whole front end (lights, front panel, bumper etc) over the Christmas holidays.

This was the second time this had happened!

Our ldv's suffered the same fate, also the transit wing mirror glass is a popular target, ended up having to seal them in place.

Thieving scum.
