Hi Guys,

I'm looking for a DCCD widetrack blob and came across this:

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/s...

I know it's rare and in good nick with more power but is it really worth £12,000?

Any thought would be very much appreciated.

Massively overpriced. I'd say £8500 is more realistic. Rarity of colour means completely nothing.

Looks expensive but looks good. Think there is a shortage of good widetracks for sale so guess it is worth what someone will pay

I disagree. White Blobeyes are incredibly rare and desirable. Maybe not £12k, but its not £8.5k either.

The wide track 2 ltr Uk STI's are in high demand. A white one even more so. Wherever there is high demand, and low supply, prices will be high. Personally, I don't think the DCCD'd wide tracks are worth the sort of premium they seem to attract. The original rear shocks / top mounts were crap. They were prone to sticking / breaking / costing a lot to replace. The DCCD was a nice toy, but not really necessary for everyday use. The inter cooler water sprayer was quite useful though. If I was in the market for an impreza, I'd look for a JDM.

I think its realistically it should worth nearer £10k. Maybe there is room to haggle.

But saying that it looks like it sold: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2005-05-TYPE-UK-PPP-IMPR...
