I've just sold my car and have cancelled my policy.

The insurance co are going to send out a proof of no claims but it might be some time before I buy another car.
So, generally how long is NCB considered 'good' for? Esure said that they'd accept NCB up to two years old, but is this the exception rather than the rule?

I have 19 years NCB built up, so I'd rather buy and insure a shed in order to keep it running than risk losing it.

Any ideas?

Churchill said something similar to me, i think its between a year and two years. I certainly would not leave it longer than a year.

But as you say, get a shed, insure it for absolute minimum and SORN it in your driveway, that way you keep your no claim's and you will not have to worry.
