Hi all,
I've been visiting PH for a week or two now, thought it was about time I registered
You'll see from my profile that I won't be joining any trips out in the TVR for a bit is that the best way to get a picture up ??

Got to make do with the Range Rover in the mean time, at least the suns not out

The short answer is "I bought it like that"

The long answer, well I'll try and keep it short, the other half didn't think it was a good idea to spend ALL the money she wanted to spend on restoring the house on a toy for me (I still don't see why not, we'd have had until november to save up enough for the central heating )

So a crash damaged one seemed like a good Idea , I'm doing most of the work myself (apart from the top coat of paint) and I took the oportunity to fit some nice shiny lights (Zertec) as the others, as you can see, were, erm, missing

Should be done at the latest early Aug hopefully meet some of you chaps then

Hi Ben

Welcome to the site.

I think there is a problem with the link you have provided in your profile - all I can see if an engine with some bits hanging off it.

Seriously, bad luck. I know we're all dying to hear what happened? I just hope the insurance cough up for it soon!

blimey you sound like useful chap to know - tonnes of bodywork niggles on the Tamora need sorting. See thread "Common Problems" if you're interested. Between us we've sorted most of them but a bit of lateral thinking wouldnt go amiss.....

LOL!

Fortunately the Vette, Viper and Mustang were all owned during my time in America, probably couldnt have afforded to run one of them over here!

incoragibile,
Thats not a 99 chimaera in the picture at all its a 96 griff 500 something a bit wrong ere me thinks !!!!!!

If buy any chance that is you car in the picture did your car have a private plate on when you first bought it (i.e. didn't come with the car but had been left on when it was smashed up) and did you buy it from a garage near reigate ish with quality in the title ??
If so I know a little bit about it that may or may not help

Well spotted, dunno what happenned there must have got my photos on Fotango a bit muddled

I did buy it from "Quality....." went to look at that griff too, but a 99 4.0 chim was a better bet in my book, especially as it's only got 11k on the clock

I hope :eek

The view from the front was very similar before I got stuck into making it the right shape

Any info you've got about the history would be nice, was it yours ??

Just re-read your post

No, the car in the picture isn't mine, but if anyone else used to own a spun (possibly rolled) 99 chimaera

Well the Griff has a bent and fractured chassis.
So you must have bought the light green ish Chimaera with (from memory now) dark green interior then is that the one.
Have you actually bought it yet ?

I have had a few dealings with quality ...... and may be able to help if you havent bought it yet

How much checking did you do on the car before buying it if I may ask ?

Glad i'm not the only one who thought it looked like a Griff rather than a Chimaera. Still sounds like you have it's rebirth under control !!
