Thanks, the 458 Spider is Bianco Fuji, which is a special pearl whit Ferrari did for the 599 GTO.
To my mind, 360 is too close chronologicaly to the 458, it'll just feel not as good, you need to go older to get a classic Ferrari feel hence my 308GTB.
I know what you mean, but I already have a 360 and love the gear box. If only they'd fit a spyder with ratios along those lines, but EU emissions regs do not permit... Don't think I could bring myself to let the 360 spider go as I love the sound with the stradale exhaust. To my mind, 360 is too close chronologicaly to the 458, it'll just feel not as good, you need to go older to get a classic Ferrari feel hence my 308GTB.
Of course I'd rather a 308GTB and 458 like you, but prices have gone stratospheric now haven't they!
To me that pearlescent paint really works on the 458, yet I can't imagine it looking good on a car like the 981 spyder? Don't know why.

Anyone tried out the 2 bucket seat options, it seems to be heated vs height adjustment. Also the price difference between the 2 is much greater than on the GT4
You are right this is the choice. Fortunately the seat choice was a no brainer for me. I'm told that the no cost option are GT3/981 Spyder like and both those fit me perfectly. Being 1.8M tall, height adjustment is not needed. The seat heater option is the better because it extends the amount of times you can have the top down Timbo_Mint said:

Would I take £20k for my build slot? No.
I am sure a few will and we will see nice spec cars for £90k up for sale.To a degree the max price will be influenced by the GT4 prices which could see £100k. For road use the Spyder will broadly be as rapid and in some ways more usable as less 'hardcore'. The Spyder could also be seen to be underpriced relative to the GT4 having regard to the cheaper cost of speccing buckets, carbon, red stitching etc etc.

My contact at Porsche Germany told me demand for the spyder is higher than for the GT4 in relation to production numbers. Make of that what you will.Last chance saloon to bag that N/A mid engined small(ish) Porsche I guess. Mini echoes of 458 speciale aperta perhaps.

This punter video of a GT silver spyder confirms my decision not to get the classic interior is a good one. Just too fussy:
