New GT4 European Series
Discussion
This looks like a great news series for 2014

Hopefully there will be some good teams and drivers, myself and our team being one of them (sponsorship permitting) as it visits some of the best race tracks around.

Good luck with the sponsorship Anthony, what car will you be (hopefully) racing in 2014?
I hope the series goes well, GT racing such as the FIA GT always makes good viewing, seems to be some good tracks for the 2014 GT4 too, hopefully some more manufacturers will produce some more models, seems only Maserati made a 'new' gt4 model recently, although that wasn't exactly popular in gt4, they always seemed to be just kept in the trofeo series.
Good luck in the series.

We're not 100% which car ,we run a Ex works ETCC BMW E46 in Brictar, but we're looking at either the BMW M3 GT4 or the Aston Martin Vantage.
We've got two more rounds of the Britcar Production Cup to go, we're leading the championship at the moment,so focused on that and once their over then we can really get looking at the cars for next year.

Ah I see, good luck in britcar. The Vantage seems to be a popular choice in gt4, from what I've read its rather forgiving and easy to get most out of it, although sadly I'm not talking from experience! We're not 100% which car ,we run a Ex works ETCC BMW E46 in Brictar, but we're looking at either the BMW M3 GT4 or the Aston Martin Vantage.

Keep us posted on the GT4 series, Ill keep my fingers crossed for you in production cup.
We might also be doing it with my G50 GT4 subject to the BOP being fair. The Dutch GT4 cars are so so fast - when we have raced against them at Silverstone and Zandvoort they have been in another race so to make the Aston compete they will need to work out the BOP....... Recently Mike Simpson @ Ginetta in a 2011 Spec G50 GT4 (3.5L small brakes etc) did beat them all at Zolder.
Thats the biggest issue with Vantages in GT4, the BOP.
We did the first season of Euro GT4 back in 07 (I think!) and the Vantages were left for dead and seem to remember a Mustang winning the majority of the races, along with a 350Z which resembled a GT3 with the aero removed. When the Aston was released it still had solid front discs off the road car!!
The 2014 AMR/ GT4 Challenge has been announced today - 9 races, 6 rounds where 4 are support races with BGT.

Personally I think that the 4 races supporting British GT should include the British GT4 runners as well so that there are stand alone GT4 races, ahead of a proper stand alone GT4 series in the UK in 2015. spyderman8 said:
I understand Porsche have an eye on this series.
Chris.
I hope so. A Dutch outfit has produced a GT4 compliant upgrade kit for the 997 Cup car for a couple of years now.Chris.
I also think that the Cayman needs a marketing boost, and I think that a "GT4" version of this car, inc road and track models, could be just the thing.
