Not that I'm bitter, but 154 sounds quite high!! Was it a late run? All times seemed fractionally better later on, but I had stopped driving by then. Emma's car did 146 when I "raced" her, mine did 144. I'm putting it down to the extra weight onboard my car and my 18" (not 17") wheels! (Nothing to do with driving skill, obviously).

If those figures are correct then DeR beat Daz... I assume therefore that Daz is "off forum" at the moment, as he is visiting those nice gentlemen at DMS or Techart or Ruf!!!

Johnny, I think so. She did a run on her own late in the day, so that might have been it.

I will ask the lady herself tonight.

That did not happen. DeR drove my car on the day at 178. If his car was 7mph faster he wouldn't have been able to contain himself as he read the speed trap.

Interesting comment about speeds achieved later in the day. Some of us spent two hours touring Leicester thanks to the Scunthorpes who run the Road maintainence at the city council. Upon returning the laser equipment was stuck on 188.

DAZ
(As a known darts player, dissappointed with not breaking 180)

Nope, I certainly didn't get anywhere near the new big boys this time!

In fact, although someone else may have wrung 175 out of the tired 'awd slapper, I only ever saw 174 come up.

Pitiful (also wierd).

Jerome Negus.

{Thinking about it, historically I've always sat to my liege's left, about 3mph below his spectral divinity.)

Out of interest the day before we were there a new Mercedes McLaren SLR did a maximum run of 205 in the wet. This was however, on his speedo, I'm guessing about 195mph real speed, so some of the vmaxxers werent far off it !!

***NUTTER OF THE DAY***

HAS to be the Northern shopkeeper on his final, final run (i.e before leaving the proving ground)

He had the straight to himself, and with his mate in the car gave it full power on the straight *UNTIL the corner* , when he braked. Stopped easily before the end of the track.

IIRC he said he saw 190+ on the speedo.

Mad.
