My 450 is fairly standard, only mods are stealth cam, smooth bore, larger AFM and mapping to go with the AFM. However when I look at the shape of my power graph, it really starts to tail off above 4k and I feel it has more to give. I'm assuming it's lack of air (I know it's not lack of petrol) so better heads should release more power....
I guess I'm just being a bit greedy because since the larger AFM and remap it feels really strong and I just want a bit more

Your power curve tail off at 4k rpm coincides with your peak torque... Compare it with Dr Mike's standard 450 (on previous page), power figures are similar but you have significantly more torque... I'd guess that'd be largely due to the Stealth cam My 450 is fairly standard, only mods are stealth cam, smooth bore, larger AFM and mapping to go with the AFM. I know nothing about the Stealth but it looks as if it is a good mid range cam and not a top end power cam.
Probably similar to the Typhoon cam.
Was that a decatted exhaust when that graph was produced?
bigger heads and a sorted intake would make that come alive and hold on longer IMO Probably similar to the Typhoon cam.

How much is charged for these TVR special cam profiles?
I have just ordered a good old tried and tested Tornado from real steel.
Looking forward to posting my results with the refurbished heads and a few other tweaks.
Should be on Dales rollers in 3 weeks. So dont forget to add 10% for the North/South divide

Chilli,It was Dr Mikes curve that I've been looking at.
It you compare the HP at 4k, I am just over 250 whereas he is just over 230. However over the next 1500 rpm, he not only catches up those missing 20 ponies, he actually overtakes me. That's why I think I need more air at high revs.

Is it tractable or does it kick you up the arse ?
What boost are you running ? Yours must be the most powerful Chimaera Turbo to date with Mac taking second place .;)
I am only running 10lb of boost at the moment;) Yes it does kick you in the arse, however I have not driven it to it's full potential as the road conditions have not allowed. You can't drive any Chim to it's full potential at this time of year. What boost are you running ? Yours must be the most powerful Chimaera Turbo to date with Mac taking second place .;)
It did spike at 441bhp on Dale's rollers but they had to cut short the mapping session due to some time constraints and mechanical issues.
P.S.
Only joking Derek
