If you can read the full name of that car without shedding a silent tear, you aren't a PHer.http://www.vehiclesforbusiness.co.uk/business-leas...

That you get to leave your car at the office every day?
I've got two cars and a van already, another on order (E350) and I'm on the lookout for a fourth (Evora). Leaving one at the office overnight (not all day, business use is permitted)) isn't a hardship.Presumably you still have to make them available to other staff though?

In summary you can't exit the contract part way through so you need to know you can afford it, and if you go over the miles or return it damaged or not in reasonable condition, They'll fk you. Not all insurers will cover you as you aren't the owner or keeper. Other than that cool.
I read this and remembered I haven't received the V5C yet, so didn't have a clue who was the registered keeper.Asked Steve (where are you?) but sod all reply, so phoned Merc who confirmed they are the registered keeper.
Phoned insurers (Direct Line) to update the details and they quite happily told me that having that detail incorrect on the policy would not have affected any payout in the event of a claim. I had told them it was a new lease car when I bought it, and they had assumed I was the RK.
So all correct now, but nothing to worry about if you're with DL.

No deals? Ok then.
Looking for a m135 or similar ASAP.
I think Golf Rs can be sourced relatively cheaply or Seat Leon Cupra280bhp. Looking for a m135 or similar ASAP.
Not heard anything re M135i on here for at least a year doesn't appear to be coming back unless you opt for used at a year old could be cheaper plus you get to keep the car at the end..
Golf R is back to £165 plus vat for business users. Apparently VW dealers have been complaining to VW about the cheap personal lease deals and the mass of people walking into showrooms with a print out.
I've given on on trying to get a R this year (14v week lead-time) and will be placing an order for the GTD tomorrow....

well fair enough, as i said not all insurers will insure you, so there are some that are fine. They will ask you about any detail they care about, but it's absolutely wise to check as when i was getting quotes i had a number of refusals when i said it was a private lease and i wasn't on the V5.
I've had no problems with either - my now returned C1 was in Citroens name (I never had a V5C) and my SLKs (on Mercedes "Agility") have both been in my name.Dog Star said:

The Golf R deals are that cheap that they're even attracting the attention of the posters in one of the barge bargains threads, despite it being polar opposite proposition in terms of car and ownership model. Someone came along to ask about monthly anticipated barge ownership costs, using the Golf R as an example of 'the other way' and the general response was "oh, that's really cheap actually". Lol. Not much protestation, only from me really!
