Best lease car deals available?
Discussion
Stumbled across a couple in the last few days:
Golf R on 6+23 for £239 a month, 10k PA, non-maintained through OSV (standard email offer)
Fiesta ST2 with metallic paint and Style Pack on 7k PA, 3+23 for £224 a month including maintenance through Leasing4u.
Don't know if this is of use to anyone.
Cheers

Anyone ever dealt with Freedom Contracts? I placed a deposit and was approved for a car that was meant to be "in stock" it's been 14 days and no sign of the car - they don't call back, or reply to emails and when I call they are all "busy" and will get back to me - seem like a bunch of cowboys to me? Has anyone ever actually got a car from them!?!?
I got my current Mercedes from Freedom, delivered in September and I really did find them excellent to deal with.e Mails and calls were always followed up promptly and I've recommended them. Surprised you find them to be so poor.

As someone rightly said earlier - it's almost like they don't need me but I need them! Yes they are cheap but there is just no customer service whatsoever. I find I need to call 3-4 times in a day to get someone to speak to me as they are always too busy on calls. I was then told they sold xxx cars last week it's so manic so I need to be patient. Urm - thought it is the customer that makes or breaks a business!?e Mails and calls were always followed up promptly and I've recommended them. Surprised you find them to be so poor.
Scott does not have the same deals as Freedom and Freedom are cheaper. Guess I just have to sit tight and be patient in that case...

Incidentally, they didn't wait 14 days to place the order, my order was confirmed with the manufacturer in 3 working days.
Perhaps they are just rushed off their feet.

i've noticed that it now seems to be the done thing for lease brokers to ignore you for 14 days, they certainly won't do much paperwork wise other than provisionally reserve a car if it's physical, cooling off period see.W4NTED said:

I've got one due for delivery on Friday which was advertised as 10-14 working days but was still on the continent!! Was only end of September so I guess it hasn't been that long. Communication has been spot on, emails/telephone, no problems at all. Good luck.Blown2CV said:
absolutely not! it's 14 days to exit the agreement not to decide whether you like the car or not... the morals are dubious but there we go.
You usually forfeit the initial up front payment if you pull out within the 14 days I believe. Gateway2lease that's the case certainly. You forfeit your right to change your mind with them it's one of the clauses on the reserve a car form. vescaegg said:

Admin fee, that might be fair enough, but it looks awfully like a penalty otherwise. For instance, if you take out a 3+23 with higher monthly payments, do you pay less than if you do a 9+23 with lower payments?
If so, on what basis? It's the same car that still needs to be resold, so it's not covering actual loss, meaning that someone is potentially better off in the breach than the observance.

http://www.allvehiclecontracts.co.uk/Quotation/New... £5804 for 2 years ex vat. Personal lease also available
I like these and popped into the dealer today - Lexus wants £2k deposit and £349 a month and only business users apply so the deal above on personal looks good.http://www.allvehiclecontracts.co.uk/Quotation/New... £5804 for 2 years ex vat. Personal lease also available
Trying decide wether to run a big engined old car (e.g. CLK500 2004-6) or a brand new lease car (that's a bit interesting and not the default 2.0 diesel) with reasonable mpg like the lexus...
Am looking for a super cheap lease deal for my girlfriend (Who's 1.2 Nissan Micra just got written off!)
Her commute is only 5 miles across Manchester. She really doesn't care what car she ends up with.
This 3+47 Deal on a 1.2 Fiat 500 from Lings looks ok?
http://www.lingscars.com/Fiat/500/1974862-1.2_i_8v...
Or would we better with something like the Skoda CityGo mentioned a few pages back? Am really after the cheapest base spec car.
Thanks for any advice - never considered leasing before.

Generally I heard good things about freedom but my own experience was very disappointing. They had an amazing, some might say too good to be true, offer on a merc amg e63. When I placed my deposit in March it was originally expected in 4 months and I received weekly phone calls. By the July when it was originally due it had been pushed back to september and then it became November, and then january. The final straw came when the date was pushed back further to not before March at the earliest and that was with no idea when it would be due. So it went from 4 months to over 12 months wait. With no confirmed date I cancelled my order and to be fair I received my deposit back within a week. Caveat emptor!

2.5 Litre Petrol = 24ppm,
2.0 Diesel = 13ppm
Hope it's still there in 10 months when mine's up!

Maybe it was because I got them to tell me which dealer had the order, I could then harass them instead!
Excessively cheap SLK200 here:
http://www.freedomcontracts.com/Mercedes-SLK-200-C...
£189.99 p.c.m. for a 2.5 year deal on a 9 + 29. Plus £295 processing fee. Total contract = £7518.62 for 2.5 years.
Personal prices are almost 40% higher though.

Can anyone explain to me business leasing? My assumption was always unless you had your own company and we VAT registered you could not get business rates, which having seen a couple of posts on here seems to be wrong.
As an example, I get a car allowance of circa £600 PCM from my employers. My own car is the fully insured for business use and I do a high proportion of business miles.
Would I be able to get the business rates through some loophole or am I dreaming?
